Kristen Bellatti

With a lifelong love for art, Kristen Bellatti has built a career that fulfills her creatively while serving a greater purpose of helping those in need.

Kristen’s journey with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank began in April 2021 when she joined as an administrative assistant, supporting the development and accounting teams. By October 2021, she transitioned into a role as Communications and Donor Relations Coordinator.

In her time with the Food Bank, Kristen’s responsibilities have continued to grow. She became the Senior Communications Coordinator before moving into her current role as the Creative Communications Manager earlier this year.

In her current role, Kristen wears many hats. She manages the Food Bank’s website and mobile app, assists with media buying, works closely with vendors, and serves as the contact for media outlets. Her artistic background stands out through her work creating graphics, video, and photography.

For Kristen, the most rewarding part of her role is knowing that her skills are making an impact. “I love knowing that my skillsets are being used to help people who are in need and my work supports the mission and success of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank,” she shares.

Every step of Kristen’s journey has been fueled by her passion for art and creativity. “I’ve always had interests that were based in a lifelong passion for art, which has led me to where I am today in communications,” said Kristen Bellatti.

This foundation has allowed her to bring fresh, engaging perspectives to her work in communications. Whether she’s designing visual content, managing digital platforms, or coordinating public relations efforts, Kristen’s artistic vision helps the Food Bank amplify its message and reach those in need.

Megan Rojas

Megan Rojas, Communications and Public Relations Coordinator, brings her passion for storytelling and connection to every aspect of her work.

“When I graduated with my undergraduate degree, I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do next,” Megan recalls. “I took a step back and thought about what I truly enjoyed. Writing was something I always loved—it was a significant part of my coursework, and I found joy in it.

My undergraduate studies were humanities-focused, and I found a deep connection to that field. As I explored my options, I realized communications combined everything I loved: writing, creativity, and the human element. It felt like the perfect fit, and I decided to begin my professional journey in this direction.”

Megan’s role is as diverse as it is engaging. “I manage internal projects and oversee their progress from start to finish, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Social media is another major part of my responsibilities—I create content, capture photos, and interact with our online audience,” she explains.

Beyond social media, Megan also writes articles for the organization’s website and occasionally crafts press releases. “It’s a dynamic role that challenges me to balance strategic thinking with creativity, which is something I truly enjoy,” she shares.

Megan’s journey is a testament to the power of following your passions. Her role allows her to not only express her creativity but also connect people through impactful storytelling.

Kristen and Megan are members of the Public Relations Society of America, the Public Relations Association of Louisiana (Baton Rouge Chapter), and the Southern Public Relations Federation, and are deeply involved in the field they both love. Kristen serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana (Baton Rouge Chapter).
