The Fraenkel Society – Feeding the Future
Planned Gifts are contributions typically made through an estate or trust as part of a bequest or other form of financial planning. Friends of the Food Bank who have communicated to us that they are leaving a legacy gift are recognized as members of the Fraenkel Society – Feeding the Future.
Planned gifts that would qualify for inclusion in the Fraenkel Society include:
- Bequests: Naming the Food Bank in your will or living trust.
- Beneficiary Designations: Listing the Food Bank as a beneficiary of retirement accounts, life insurance policies, or bank accounts.
- Charitable Gift Annuities and Trusts: Establishing arrangements that provide income to you or others, with the remainder benefiting the Food Bank.
- Endowment Gifts: Contributing to or creating endowment funds to support the Food Bank’s mission in perpetuity.
These specialized gifts often require the involvement of the donor’s accountant or legal advisor, in partnership with our Development Team. Please contact us at (225) 359-9940 or development@brfoodbank.org.
