The Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation recently announced the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank as the recipient of a challenge grant. That means, for every dollar donated toward the Fight Hunger Challenge the Wilson Foundation will match it, up to $25,000.

The Wilson Foundation has always been a supporter of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and the Greater Baton Rouge community. However, this is the first year they have provided the opportunity to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank’s donors to double their impact in our community. With every $1 donated, matched by the Wilson Foundation, you could provide up to six meals to those in need. With your help, we can fight hunger in our 11-parish service area.

“It is not often that our community is given the chance to double their impact,” said Mike Manning, President and CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. “This grant comes at an essential time as an annual meal gap of over 22 million meals exists in our service area.”

Double your impact today through the Fight Hunger Challenge Grant. Starting July 1, 2019 through August 1, 2019, you can donate at brfoodbank.org/challengegrant.
