Sparkhound Supports Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank
In April 2015, the Sparkhound Foundation named the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank as the benefiting organization of the 2015 Sparkhound Invitational Golf Tournament. Teams gathered to enjoy a day outdoors while also supporting the Food Bank’s mission to feed the hungry in its 11 parish service area.
“The Sparkhound Foundation has worked with the Greater Baton Rouge and Houston Food Banks over the last few years with great success. Through these partnerships, we saw an opportunity to make a larger impact and increase awareness by incorporating the Food Bank into our annual Sparkhound Invitational Golf Tournament,” said Shannon Duplessis, Sparkhound Foundation President.
Donated funds from the tournament will provide food equivalent to more than 22,000 meals for those in need in the Food Bank’s 11 parish service area.
“We are extremely humbled and excited to impact our community in such a large way,” said Duplessis.
