  • Where are the distributions hosted?

Our mobile distributions are hosted off site in our 11-parish service area. The locations of each distribution change depending on the need on a weekly basis. Please note where the distribution you are signing up for is located.

  • What type of activities will I be doing if I volunteer?

Jobs will include directing traffic, collecting information from clients regarding the size of their household, passing out water, and loading cars with boxes (up to 35 lbs) in assembly line type fashion as well as any other duties as assigned.

  • What safety precautions are in place to limit my exposure to the virus?

Both clients and volunteers will wear masks during the distribution process. Clients will remain in their cars to limit exposure. Additionally, boxes are put directly into the trunks of clients’ vehicles to limit exposure.

  • Who can volunteer for this new opportunity?

The age limit to volunteer at all distributions is 18 and above. Please do not bring guests under the age of 18 as they will be turned away due to safety restrictions. Additionally, this volunteer opportunity is not valid for court-ordered community service.

  • What should I bring with me?

Volunteers are to bring and wear masks on site at all times. A limited number of masks will be provided on site if a volunteer’s mask breaks or is forgotten.

You are welcome to bring a water bottle with you; however, water will be provided onsite.

  • What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing for the temperature and weather. These opportunities are outside, so please dress appropriately. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes for safety. Volunteers with open toed shoes will be turned away.

  • Where do I park?

Once you arrive at the distribution, you will need to tell the person directing traffic that you are a volunteer. They will direct you to where you will need to park.

  • What do I do after I park?

After you park, you will go to the tent with a large “Volunteers” sign. There you will be given your assignment.

  • Is there a shaded place for breaks?

At the same tent where you go to get your assignment, you will be able to take breaks, get water and get first aid if needed. Water and bathrooms will also be provided on site.
