
When is Empty Bowls?
After a two-year pandemic hiatus, we are excited to announce a new location and time for our 2022 Empty Bowls event! Empty Bowls Baton Rouge will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at the Baton Rouge Gallery, 1515 Dalrymple Drive. Tickets for this year’s event will be $22 in celebration of Empty Bowls returning in 2022. Each $22 ticket includes your choice of bowl, a meal, live music, and festivities for your family. Kids 12 and under eat free.

What is Empty Bowls?
This fundraiser is an international project to fight hunger, personalized by artists and art organizations in communities throughout the world. This unique fundraising effort offers access to hundreds of handcrafted ceramic bowls from local Baton Rouge artists. Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger, personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level. Empty Bowls is a unique fund-raising event whereby area artists come together to craft and donate hundreds of pottery bowls to be sold at a special event with a simple meal. The 2022 Empty Bowls event will feature up to 500 bowls from area artists and will be promoted to individuals and families in Baton Rouge.
How does the event work?
Guest tickets will include one ceramic bowl of your choosing, soup and bread, and live music. This ticket allows event goers to choose an original, handmade, ceramic bowl to use for soup which is donated and served by area restaurants. Soup bowls are a keepsake meant to be a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community. Additional bowls can be purchased at the event. One hundred percent of all proceeds are devoted to fighting hunger throughout Baton Rouge and our surrounding parishes.
