Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves, it is important to note the increased need of donations to help us serve those in need in our community. We fully anticipate an increase in the number of food insecure individuals we serve in our 11-parish service area.
“A donation of your time, food or funds are greatly appreciated especially during this time,” said Mike Manning, President and CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
To those interested in donating their time, we need your help; however, if you are not feeling well, please do not come to volunteer. Instead, share awareness of the need as we truly continue to need the assistance of our volunteers.
All surfaces throughout our facility are being appropriately sanitized multiple times a day. Gloves are readily available for use by our volunteers as well.
An update will be provided should things change in this fluid situation. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to the people we serve- we cannot be successful in our efforts without you.
