How Capitol City Produce and Amazon Support the Fight Against Hunger
How They Support Our Mission
Amazon and Capitol City Produce are key partners in our mission to nourish individuals and families across our community.
Capitol City Produce proudly serves as a 40 for 40 campaign donor, pledging $40,000 over four years. Team members from Capitol City Produce have served on our board for years. They also support us with fresh produce donations and procurement services which directly benefit our partner agencies and donors.
Amazon shows their support through volunteerism. Since 2023, their team has contributed 192 volunteer hours, working alongside our staff in the warehouse to sort, pack, and distribute nutritious food to those in need.
How Their Contributions Are Fighting Hunger
Capitol City Produce delivers fresh, nutritious produce to our clients monthly. In the past year alone, they donated 94,537.75 pounds of produce, directly benefiting 6,302 individuals in our service area. Their combined financial, leadership, and food support exemplifies the powerful impact of a dedicated corporate partnership.
Amazon’s efforts have greatly supported our operations by dedicating their time to volunteering in our warehouse. Volunteers like those from Amazon play an essential role in helping us fulfill our mission to feed the hungry in our community. Last year alone, the total hours contributed by all volunteers were equivalent to the work of 28 full-time employees allowing us to stretch our resources further and serve more neighbors in need.
