Live After Five Food Feud

Wednesday October 26, 2016

foodfeudAre you ready for a food feud? No, not a food fight! The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is hosting Halloween themed games and trivia for Baton Rouge guests young and old to enjoy at the Food Bank’s Booth this week’s Live After Five. Dress in your favorite costume and head downtown for a night of family fun.

Friday evenings in September and October, Baton Rouge residents gather for food, music, and dancing. Repentance Park in downtown Baton Rouge transforms from a quiet grassy hill into a lively center for fall fun. Grab your lawn chairs and join the party from 5-8 p.m. at Live After Five!

The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank joins this exciting event each week, but October 28 will bring an even more special evening. The Food Bank will host “Food Feud” at its booth with games, trivia, a photo booth and prizes!

Live After Five attendees will also be treated to one of the most talented and captivating musical groups Louisiana has to offer, New Orleans’ own Karma. Karma is a high-energy band known for its youthful charm and classic talent. The October 28th event will kick off a weekend long Halloween festival hosted by Live After Five and 10/31 Consortium.

Many Baton Rouge citizens were struck hard by the August flooding, sustaining immense damage and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank was also impacted. We received 4 feet of water in our 170,000 square foot facility and were forced to temporarily relocate. Although we are now back to our facility at the Fraenkel Center, financial donations and volunteer hours are still essential to continue providing services to our 11-parish area.

Be sure to join the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank October 28 at the final Live After Five of the season, for good music and fun for the family!
